HISTORY

On the old Gould Farm in Middletown, Rhode Island, a spring was bubbling clear and cool long before William Swan began bottling the water in 1907. Testing proved it to be pure and the Crystal Spring Water Company began. Henry T. Scott bought the firm in 1927 and three generations later it's still owned and operated by the Scott family. Over the years many changes have taken place but one thing remains constant - the pure clean taste is the same today as it was with the very first bottle almost 100 years ago.

You'll always speak with a real live person when you call Crystal Spring Water (no endless prompts or waiting on hold for an available operator). Our office is staffed from 7:30 am till 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.. with customer service representatives ready to help in any way they can. If you call after hours or on the weekend you can place an order or leave a message on our answering machine and someone will contact you the next business day.

WATER TESTING

Quality control and product testing get top priority at Crystal Spring. Water is tested daily in our own lab and two samples each week are sent to an outside independent laboratory. Bottled water is also strictly regulated on the federal level by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and on the state level by the Rhode Island Department of Health.

In addition, members of the International Bottled Water Association (IBWA), who produce 85% of the bottled water sold in the United States, must meet strict industry standards established by the association. The standards contained in the IBWA "Model Code" exceed the FDA regulations currently in place for bottled water.
